Photos from my recent trip to Adana, Turkey, located in the southern part of the country near the Mediterranean coast and the Syrian border. The Mosque located across the river from the hotel is one of the largest in Turkey and in the world. The stone bridge across the river I could view from the window of my room was build around the year 550 AD
What also surprised me was how beautiful the countryside was of Turkey. Snow capped mountains in the interior of the country and then lots of orchards and farming when you get out of the cities. Interesting country also, in that it borders some of the more newsworthy countries these days, Iraq, Iran, China, Syria, Georgia and probably a few others I am forgetting. So they are pretty much in the middle of it all!Love, Stan
